• Hip Impingement

  • Hip impingement is a condition where pain in the hip is caused by the hip ball and socket rubbing together.

  • Patients do not have much hip pain in the earlier stages of hip impingement but the condition can become increasingly painful without treatment. Hip impingement can often become osteoarthritis if it is not treated.

    Forms of treatment can include:

    • Pain relief medication
    • Physical therapy
    • Arthroscopic surgery
    • Hip replacement surgery
