The stroke program coordinator is a registered nurse who has received advanced training in the care of stroke patients and stroke prevention education.
The stroke coordinator visits stroke patients to answer questions and help reinforce stroke education.
Patients and families are provided with a binder of information about stroke care, stroke prevention, reducing risk factors, rehabilitation and useful resources for more information.
The stroke coordinator also provides education and support to hospital staff, and monitors the quality of stroke care at Littleton Adventist Hospital.
