Labor & Delivery

On your delivery day, from the moment you arrive on our fully secured Labor & Delivery Unit, the safety and well-being of you and your baby are our number one priority. In the Labor & Delivery Unit, we are prepared to offer the finest care to you and your baby during your time with us as we support your individualized birth plan. For your privacy, we offer 15 individual birthing suites with a variety of accommodations to help provide for a safe and relaxing delivery. 

Obstetrical physicians, neonatal nurse practitioners and anesthesiologists are on-site 24-hours/day. Our patients enjoy a 1 to 1, 1 to 2 ratio with our skilled nursing staff. In fact, almost 70% of our nurses are nationally certified.

We look forward to helping you through the birthing process and allowing for this to be a personal and enjoyable experience for you and your family.

The BirthPlace uses OBIX Perinatal Data System for electronic fetal monitoring (EFM). OBIX is an extremely high-tech system that can be used at the patient's bedside or accessed by the patient's physician in real time via password-protected Internet connection. The continuous stream of information provided by the OBIX system can also be archived and stored as a detailed health history.

It is our goal to have mother's breastfeed within one hour of giving birth. Our expert team is here to help both mother's and babies through this process.

24-hour Obstetrical Anesthesia

No matter what type of comfort measures you choose, our team of skilled in-house anesthesiologists is available on the Labor & Delivery Unit around the clock. Our professional staff is skilled in providing the necessary support to make you feel comfortable. To meet your individual needs and preferences, we also offer alternative anesthesia/analgesia options.
