Safety is the priority when caring for infants, toddlers and school age children. Accidents and injuries are the number one cause of death and disability in children. This comprehensive course covers straightforward and practical ways of preventing and treating common accidents and injuries. We welcome all parents, older siblings, grandparents and babysitters to attend. Techniques learned in this class can be used on any child 0-8 years old.

Topics include:

• Infant/child CPR
• Demonstration and practice on manikins
• Tips for a safe home
• Emergency procedures
• Choking and airway obstruction
• Moving, positioning, examining
• Medical emergencies/sudden illness
• Specific body injuries and care

NOTE:  This class is intended for families and is not a full certification course. If you are interested in CPR certification, we can refer you to the appropriate agency.   

Skilled instructors with specialized training teach classes.  Instructors are also parents themselves who can offer insight on their own valuable experiences.

Cost: $50 per couple or $30 per individual

No charge to NICU families
