Interventional Neuroradiology Procedures

• Intra-arterial TPA (Tissue Plasminogen Activator) - An injection of clot-busting drugs into the clot in the blood vessel to break-up the clot interfering with blood flow. In some cases, this can be effective up to six hours after onset of stroke symptoms.
• Clot Extraction Technology - Devices that can be threaded through blood vessels to the brain to extract clots. In some cases, this can be effective up to eight hours after onset of stroke symptoms.
• Angiography - Diagnostic testing that can quickly identify the cause of bleeding in the brain.
• Stent and Coil insertion or surgery to address brain aneurysms.
