Littleton Adventist Hospital's Stroke Center has received a number of awards for excellence in care for patients suffering from stroke.

Target Stroke Honor RollLittleton Adventist Hospital's stroke program has recently been named to the Target Stroke Honor Roll by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. The criteria for Target Stroke is to give IV TPA within 60 minutes, more than 50% of the time, for one quarter (minimum of 6 patients treated). Littleton Adventist Hospital treated 5/8 TPA stroke patients within 60 minutes, April-June 2010. Collaboration between EMS, the Emergency Department, neurologists, CT, radiologists and pharmacy made this recognition possible. |
